Abstract
Arsenates are produced by the process of reducing metallic compounds described in Specification 315,811, [Class 1 (iii), Oxides &c., Metallic], in which arsenic trioxide is caused to react with an alkali metal compound in the presence of the metallic compounds to be reduced, the arsenic trioxide being replaced by metallic arsenic.ALSO:In the process of reducing metallic compounds in which arsenic trioxide is caused to react with an alkali metal compound in the presence of the metallic compounds or residues to be reduced, as described in Specification 315,811, [Class 82 (i), Metals, Extracting &c.], the arsenic trioxide is replaced by metallic arsenic.
