351,296. Steam superheaters. 1. G. FARBENINDUSTRIE AKT.-GES., Frankfort-on-Main, Germany. Aug. 1, 1930, No. 23294. Convention date, Aug. 1, 1929. [Class 55 (ii).] Superheated steam passed through a distributing pipe 1 into water in a container 2 is obstructed as it rises in bubbles through the water by screens 3, upon which may be placed layers of balls, rings or other filling bodies 4. A further screen supporting filling bodies may be placed in the steam space in front of the outlet 6 for the saturated steam. Superheated steam may be admitted to the steam space of the container through an inlet tube 5. The external cooling surface of the container may be enlarged by the provision of ribs or the like.
