Air, moistening.- An apparatus for use in humidifying comprises a conical chamber D to the periphery of which the air is admitted from an annular trunk B by inclined passages C which impart to it a rotary motion. The liquid is admitted at M, and the dimensions and velocities are determined so that the liquid is finally carried to the centre of the vortex. The air is discharged at E.
