The frame may consist of flat vertical strips, hooked at the upper end to rest on a bus-bar, and transverse rods, exposed at intervals to permit connection of the goods by wires. A support for use in plating a tubular article 10 such as the silencer of a motor-cycle comprises a bar 15 coated at 5b and having an exposed part 16 bent to V-shape to grip the tube internally.
