Abstract

A jig, for suspending articles within a plating bath, comprises a frame, e.g. made of aluminium metal or alloy uprights 1, 2 and bottom rod 3 preferably coated with plastic, with copper, brass or steel cross rods 6, 7 secured in the upper part, and a plurality of spines 10 (one only shown) detachably mounted therein, the frame being formed with a hook member, e.g. bracket 8 and hook 9 secured to and of similar metal as upper cross rod 6, for suspending it in the plating bath from a bus-bar. A hook-shaped resilient member 12, e.g. of Be-Cu alloy, may be secured to each spine, e.g. made of copper, brass or steel, for engaging <PICT:0988098/C6-C7/1> the upper part of the frame, i.e. cross-rods 6, 7, the lower end of each spine being located in a socket 14, such as a U-shaped part of a wire clip 13, secured to the bottom part of the frame, i.e. rod 3. Arms or wire forms 11 are attached at intervals to the spines to support the articles.
