Abstract

1428856 Electro-plating or anodizing apparatus ISIS TECHNICAL FINISHES Ltd 14 Oct 1974 [14 July 1973] 33660/73 Heading C7B Electrolytic treatment apparatus, e.g. for plating or anodizing hollow-ware articles, comprises an article support frame adapted for immersion in an electrolyte bath 26 and which comprises two elongate side members 1, a plurality of horizontal work bars e.g. tubes 5 extending transversely between and rotatably supported by, e.g. in holes 4 and V-shaped flanges 6 in the side members, mounting means (e.g. comprising bolts 22 and cross-tubes 25 extending through the tubes 5, Fig. 5, (not shown) for supporting the work articles 21 in a common orientation about the bars and an actuating mechanism 7 e.g. slide members 8, 8' which is connected to each bar e.g. by rods 13 engaging respective slots 12 in the slide member, and operates to rotate the bars together so that the orientation of articles supported thereon can be changed. The side members may be provided with hooks 2 at one end to depend from a horizontal flight bar 3 which is raised and lowered by a hoist 27, 28. Abutment means 17 are carried by one slide member to engage upper and lower stops 19, 20 as the flight bar is raised and lowered.
