Abstract

The support device which can be mounted on a support bar consists of an elastic metal wire bent to form several adjoined aligned loops so that there is a channel between them in which the bar engages. The free ends of the wire form two branches which having an elastic deformation tend to make the loops grip the bar. One of the branches may have a loop at an intermediate point along its length. The free end of one or both branches may form a hook. The branches may be bent along their lengths and cross near to the ends to form a type of tongs. Several devices may be attached to a rectangular framework so that a large article such as a plate may be suspended.
