Abstract

348,810. Printing-machines. CALICO PRINTERS' ASSOCIATION, Ltd. and GILBERTSON, I. H., St. James's Buildings, Oxford Street, Manchester. April 3, 1930, No. 10554. [Class 100 (ii).] Inking-apparatus.-In a doctor for a printing-roller, to enable the blade to be readily changed without interfering with the holder, the blade a is formed with keyhole slots c, extending inwards from the inoperative edge, and is held in position by pins f, which project from a plate g, through the transverse wards of the slots c, and are clamped in position to the holder d by nuts h. A projection i serves to deflect the blade a, as shown, and different degrees of flexure can be obtained by passing the pins f through different wards. For clamping purposes, the nut h may be replaced by a pivotallymounted cam-piece, by two coacting wedge-shaped parts, or by a clamping plate, fitted with wedge surfaces, which engage heads on the pins f.
