Abstract

347,075. Driving-belts. GOODYEAR TIRE & RUBBER CO., 1144, East Market Street, Akron, Ohio, U.S.A. July 28, 1930, No. 22710. Convention date, Nov. 22, 1929. [Class 80 (i).] Driving-belts are formed of two or more layers 14, 15 of longitudinally arranged cords separated by woven fabric 17 laid on the bias so as to be longitudinally extensible. A bias or straight woven fabric envelope 10 in one or two layers and joined by a rubber seam 20 is provided. The woven fabric may be rubberized and the cord layers faced with rubber gum or cement 18. The complete belt is vulcanized.
