Convention date, Oct. 10, 1928. Void [Published under Section 91 of the Acts]. [Class 38 (ii).] Condensers for very high frequency work comprise a centre portion 7 of alternate foils and mica or other dielectric, separated from outer portions 5, 6 by means of thicker dielectrics 4, whereby the extra reactance causes the current to flow more evenly throughout the stack. Foils of opposite polarity are connected to common leads 8, 9, and the stack is clamped and provided with a moulded insulating covering. The thin dielectrics at the ends make the capacity easily adjustable, and at the same time are protected by the thicker sheets 4. The latter are preferably from threeto five-thousandths of an inch thick.
