[Class 135.] Protecting covers. -In a valve of the screw-down type, suitable for radiators, and having a dirt-excluding easyclean shield j, the shield is internally screwed to engage internal threads k on the stuffing- box whereby the pressure of the follower g on the packing can be adjusted by rotation of the shield. Flat portions o may be formed on the shield to accommodate a spanner for this purpose. Specification 176,285, [Class 135, Valves &c.], is referred to in the Specification.
