Abstract

345,820. Extruding materials yielding oil &c. KRUPP GRUSONWERK AKT.- GES., F., Buckau, Magdeburg, Germany. March 29, 1930, No. 10104. Convention date, May 13, 1929. [Class 87 (ii).] The outer diameter of the annular nozzle of an extrusion machine is rendered adjustable by composing the outer wall of the nozzle of sections which may be displaced by means moving axially along the nozzle. The sections 3, Fig. 1, may be pivoted at 4 and regulated by a nut 6 ; or the nut may actuate a non-rotating ring 10, Fig. 2, linked at 8 to sections 3 which may be pivoted, or may be adapted to slide radially. The nut may be formed with external threads to engage threads in a bush projecting from the face 1 of the nozzle plate.
