Abstract

1,004,332. Extrusion machines. BLOW-OMATIC CORPORATION Ltd. Feb. 26, 1962 [Feb. 25, 1961], No. 7407/62. Heading B5A. An extrusion head for tubing comprises an outer nozzle-member 18 and a solid inner nozzlemember 22 defining a converging bore, the inner member being detachably secured, e.g. by thread and screw 20, 21, to a shaft 5 axially movable in the head to vary the radial width of the extrusion aperture. The inner member 22 may be tapered, or stepped. The shaft 5 may be moved axially by rotation of the bar 12, via the threaded members 7 and 8, rotation of the shaft 5 being prevented by the key 6. Material is fed to the head from the press 17.
