Abstract

344,654. ;Chucks. BROWN & WARD (LATHES), Ltd.; and KENDALL, F. W., Warwick Road, Tyseley, Birmingham. March 1, 1930, No. 6800. [Class 83 (iii).] In chucks of the type wherein a collet is operated by levers 1 bearing on a sleeve 6, the levers are operated by a cam surface 8 and a conical surface 9 for final adjustment, formed between the two parts 7a, 7b of a stepped sleeve sliding on a similarly stepped collar 3a, 3b which is fixed to the driven spindle 4 and which is formed with slots to accommodate the levers.
