Abstract
344,323. Microphones. MARINESCU, M., 27, Salciilor Strasse, Bucharest. June 30, 1930, No. 19885. Addition to 343,710. [Class 40 (iv).] The microphone described in the parent Specification, in which the carbon granules are contained between, and actuated by, two thin mica sheets free at their edges, is modified by suspending the mica sheets 6, Fig. 1, from a rigid frame 4, 5 by resilient connecting strips which allow the mica plates 6 to have a piston-like movement. The granules are contained within the sheets 6, ebonite plates 5 and brass contact pieces 4. The microphone may comprise a plurality of such units held between the fingers of two comb-like plates 9, Fig. 3, fitted with terminals 12. The fingers 7 of the plates 9 are curved, to facilitate the insertion of the microphone units.
