Abstract

343,432. Directing vehicle lamps. GATHERER, W., 14, Russell Street, Paisley. Nov. 8, 1929, No. 34089. [Class 75 (iii).] Head-lights of vehicles are rotated so as to follow the direction of travel of the vehicle by an arm A which extends from the steering rod c under the chassis B and is pivoted to a lever E fixed to a pin F, which is attached to the pivot pin G carrying the lamp. The pivot pin G works in a plummer block H having a tapered bearing G<1> and a shoulder G<2>. The lever E has another arm El connected to the other lamp by the connecting rod O and lever E<2>. The clamp D consists of a plate with U bolts, and having a pin to which the rod A is attached by nut and spring. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 12481/11 and 128,745, [both in Class 75 (iii), Lamps &c., Details &c.]
