Abstract
342,794. Ratchet conveyers. BLUNDELL, H. C., Wakefield Road, Smithies, near Barnsley. July 9, 1930, No. 30635/29. [Class 78 (i).] The bottom 6 of the conveyer reciprocates between fixed side walls 7 and rests on rollers 5. Members 17 pivoted to the sides about a vertical axis 18 permit the forward movement of the material but arrest its return movement. The side plates may be interchanged to effect reverse operation of the conveyer, and are made in sections connected adjacent to the uprights 3 by loose pins 13 which engage eye brackets 14 secured to the side plates and eye links 15 loosely abutting the uprights. The sections of the bottom are connected by pins 11 engaging slots in lugs 12. Springs 22 keep the members 17 in position to engage the material.
