Jan. 24, 1930, No. 2564. [Class 143.] Pendulum-weight apparatus.- In a pendulum balance of the kind having a load-counterbalancing arrangement comprising two pendulum weights 3 pointing in opposite directions and a compensating roller 30 disposed between these weights, a counterbalanced driving sector 6 for the pointer 8 is directly connected to the beam 1 of the balance and to the compensating roller 30, for example by bands 4, 10, whereby only those displacements of the pendulum weights which are caused by variations of load actuate the driving sector, inaccurate reading of weight through deviation of the balance from the horizontal position being thus obviated.
