[Class 17 (ii).] The forward foot portion a of an insole for a boot or shoe wherein the upper and inner and outer soles are cemented together is of elastic rubber and the shank and heel portion a<1> is of leather. A leather reinforcement b is attached to the underside of the insole to overlap the portions a, a<1>, and a leather reinforcement c may be attached under the toe. The inturned edge of the upper is cemented to the insole and an outersole f is also cemented in position, with a filler d of elastic rubber between the soles.
