Soles; connecting uppers to insoles and soles.- A one-piece rubber or like leather substitute sole 1 for a boot or shoe is provided with a raised periphery at the heel portion 4 into which the combined inner sole 6 and upper 7 seats. A reinforcement 5 of plywood may be embedded in the heel and this serves also to hold the nails which secure the upper and insole to the sole. A heel lift 10 may be secured to the sole.
