Abstract
340,056. Firebars. GIBSON, W., 75, Somerset Road, Newport, Monmouthshire. Oct. 8, 1929, No. 30478. [Class 51 (i).] Firebars of the type having a web carrying a number of separate box-like sections divided by transverse air spaces and open at the top, as shown in Fig. 2, are cast with fire-bricks constituting cores for the box-like sections and remaining located within and forming integral parts of the completed bars. The bricks may be wider and longer at the bottom than at the top, Fig. 3, and may be formed with recesses or projections to form a key with the metal. The bricks may be made of magnesite sand.
