Abstract

339,986. Moore, H. B. Sept. 18, 1929. Opera glasses of the kind that are supported in spectacle frames so as to be capable of being worn on the face are provided with temples 6 pivoted to the frame so that the opera glasses may be worn either in the normal manner or reversed. The instrument may be focused either by turning the lens cells 8, 9, that are either threaded into the tubes 1 in the normal way or have helical grooves engaging pins on the tubes 1, by sliding or by a lazy-tongs device. In a modification the objective is contained in a tube threaded to the outside of the tube containing the eyepiece.
