Apparatus for making filaments. -An apparatus for the stretch spinning of artificial threads is characterized by the provision of a material E having numerous small holes, which is inserted between the spinning funnel A and the thread D. The material mav be for example conical or cylindrical in form, and may consist of a sheet of perforated glass or metal, or of woven wire gauze.
