Abstract
339,721. Birmingham Aluminium Casting (1903) Co., Ltd., and Vaughan, C. May 22, 1930. Casting-machines ; moulds.-A multipart mould k, having vents r, is placed ou a table c and pot b and over a nozzle e which is connected with a. tube d immersed in molten aluminium &c. in the pot. A cover is then placed over the mould to make a tight joint with the table and evacuated by a pipe j. The bore in the nozzle is eccentric so that after casting the runner may be severed by rotating the mould. The cover engages a groove f in the table c which may be provided with luting or a washer. Specifications 147,727, 201,025 and 220,289 are referred to.
