Abstract

339,652. Kemble, T. S. Sept. 10, 1929. Spring suspensions. - Electric motors 2 are bolted together at 1 to form the central part of twin axles, the drives being enclosed in casings 4, 5, which complete the axles. The motors are offset in the vertical plane and leaf springs 43 are pivoted on the ends of the member 36 and secured to the casings 5 by pins. Auxiliary helical springs or " bumpers " 9, Fig. 1, are interposed between the chassis and the casing 4.
