Abstract

338,749. Edwards, E. C. Dec. 4, 1929. Frying-pans ; lids; strainers.-A frying-pan or like cooking vessel is provided with a. perforated plate or mesh strainer 4 pivoted to swing about an axis lying centrally across the mouth of the pan. The axis comprises a thin rod 6 passed successively through holes in the handle attachment plate, the wall of the pan, and through a sleeve formed along the straight edge of the strainer, emerging at a hole at the opposite side of the pan, where it is secured by a wing-nut 8. The curved edge of the strainer is provided with a double pivoted clip 9 adapted to be engaged over the rim of the pan at either side.
