Abstract

337,920. Trent Process Corporation. Oct. 20, 1928, [Convention date]. Composition fuel.-In the coal and oil amalgamation process, as described in Specifications 228,862; and 262,302, [Class 32, Distilling &c.], the amalgamating is first effected with a light oil, such as Navy fuel oil, and the process completed by the addition of a heavy oil. After the first stage of treatment the ash content is removed and the water changed or not, as desired, before the heavy oil is added. The volatile constituents of the coal and the light oil may be distilled off in the subsequent baking and be used in the first stage. Suitable proportions are coal 85 per cent, light oil 5-7¢ per cent and heavy oil 10-7¢ per cent.
