337,207. Robertson, W. A. Nov. 6, 1929. Air and steam, supplying; firebridges.-In a boiler of the upright type air and steam are supplied above the fuel through a hollow structure arranged immediately beneath the uptake, and having a steam nozzle in its upper part. When the furnace has a central uptake as shown in Fig. 3, a device 17 is used similar to that described in Specification 19450/14, and having air nozzles 23 at the base and a steam nozzle 21 at the top. If the uptake is towards the side the air and steam supply device is similar to the firebridge described in Specification 141,613. Specification 183/92 is referred to.
