Water-tube boilers.- In a boiler, superheater, economizer, or other heat exchanger, comprising rows of parallel tubes 1, the spaces between the tubes of each row are filled with metallic pieces 2 formed with concave surfaces on their exposed sides as well as on their sides in contact with the tubes so as to direct the heating gases or other fluid in continuously sinuous paths between the tubes.
