Hatch fastenings.-A hatch fastening comprices a latch B mounted in the ends of a hatch section D and adapted to be turned by a handle A located in a recess in the ratch section into engagement with the underside of the rest bar. The stem of the latch is mounted in a bush C and the edges of the hatch sections are bevelled so that they interlock when in position on the hatch.
