Abstract

336,177. Dorsey, G. Dec. 31, 1929. Mouthpieces and attachments; sanitary and hygienic devices.-A disinfecting device for telephone mouthpieces comprises a ring formed of two parts 10, 11 between which is clamped a foraminated disc 13, the part 10, which is provided with an internal groove adapted to receive a disinfecting carrying member 18, being detachably connected to the mouthpiece 15 by spaced curved lugs 14 and a lug 16 and set screw 17. The disinfectant may be introduced through small openings in the rear of part 10. The section 11 is formed with a downwardly and forwardly inclined flange 20 of sufficient size. to protect the lips of the user from contact with disc 13.
