Abstract
335,107. Burke, J. J. Nov. 8, 1929. Concretes and, mortars.-Artificial stone, marble, &c., is made by mixing cement. sand, water, sodium silicate, boric acid, and alginic acid to a plastic mass, which is then moulded to the desired shape. Example, 1 part of cement is mixed with 2 parts of sand and the mixture wetted with a solution made bv adding 40 gallons of water to 4 lb. of sodium silicate, 2 lb. of boric acid and 2 lb. of alginic acid. sufficient solution being used to form the mixture into a plastic mass, which is then moulded.
