Mooring.-A mooring device for ships, pontoons or floating bridges particularly suitable for positions where tidal variations are considerable comprises a heavy block k threaded on the mooring chain e between the ship and the anchor n and arranged so that the position of the block on the chain may be adjusted, the mooring chain being fitted inboard with screw stretching devices. The block is provided with chamfered surfaces around the central perforation and a number of mooring chains may be provided.
