327,441. Cobham, Sir A. J., and Cobham Aviation, Ltd., A. Dec. 7, 1928. Pontoon rafts.-A floating station for aircraft in which aircraft may be moored comprises a conical structure which floats with its apex downwards and is compartmented by bulkheads 2. 3 arranged at right angles. The compartments serve for the storage of oil and through one the hawser pipe 11 passes terminating in the side of the structure in an open mouth 13 and at the top in an aperture 12. Working about the trunk 7 bounding the aperture is a turntable 14 running on rollers on a supporting ring 18 secured to the deck 4. This turntable is provided with a lip 23 carrying a fender 24 and, on its surface, are mounted the ring bolts 20 and moving cleat 21 to which the aircraft are secured.
