Abstract

334,165. Doue, E. E. Aug. 24, 1929. Divided on 332,434, and addition to 316,314. Piston and tubular valves.- In a tap or cock for tanks according to the parent Specification, the body 1 of the tap is secured to the upper part of the tank, the liquid therein flowing by suction and not by gravity. 'The said body 1 has an extension constituted by a fixed tube 1<a> through which a movable tube 3 passes, and in its lowest position nearly reaches to the bottom of the tank, said tube 3 being also provided with two radial holes 9 and having three operative positions, as in the parent case. The three operative positions of the apertures 9 are shown in dotted lines, dot and dash lines, and full lines, corresponding to the closed position, the emptying position, and the open position with reserve of fuel, respectively.
