Abstract

333,845. Artofex Engineering Works, Ltd. Dec. 10, 1928, [Convention date]. Discharging b y tilting container.- An apparatus for tilting the wheeled containers of kneading-machines comprises a frame with spaced upright members between which is a tilting member consisting of a transverse beam to which the trough is fixed, and a pair of arms pivoted about a transverse shaft. The trough 8 is secured to the beam 3 by a clamping member 9 similar to that used in the kneading - machine, and the beam, together with the arms 4, is tilted about the shaft 5 by means of chains 12, which pass over driving wheels 15, and have their ends secured to the arms 4 and tensioning weights 26 respectively. The shaft 5 is supported by the frame members 1 fitted with stays 2 and 17, and the trough is guided into position by guides 6 for the wheels on the carriage 7. The driving wheels are operated, through irreversible worm gearing, from a motor, a knock-out switch, operated by links 23, 24 from the arms, being provided.
