A display and dispensing device for roll material comprises a system of endless elements, e.g. chains 7, passing over rotary members mounted in pairs on the same axis, e.g. pinions 6, 8 secured on axles 5, 9 mounted in bearings 4, 10 on frame 2, the chain having plates 18 secured to spaced links to which are pivoted at 19 plates 20 carrying bearings 21 for the ends of the rods 22 carrying the rolls. The chain may be moved manually or by a motor 14 and chain reduction gearing 15, 16 and the rolls cut by knife 26 moving across platform 25.
