Resistance ovens.-A cooking oven comprises an outer casing 1 in which is supported an inner liner 2, the latter carrying a supporting member 6 which is secured to a cross-bar 7 attached to the casing 1. In the construction shown, a bracing member 8, Figs. 9, is attached at top and bottom to the rear wall of the liner 2, and comprises a member 6 of U cross-section which seats in the correspondingly-shaped cross-bar 7 secured to the rear members 8<1> of the framework. A screw 7<1> passes through the bar 7 and member 6, and in securing the parts draws the liner rearwardly until a flange 4 on its front end makes contact with the front face 5 of the casing 1. Openings 11 in the frame 8 permit the oven terminal and contact clips to project through. The heating unit, as well as the oven pans, may be supported at different heights on corrugations 3 at the sides of the liner 2. The top 14 of the outer casing is provided with flanged edges, and with screws 16 in the rear flange which, on engaging the back wall of the casing, draw the cover rearwardly and so cause it to fit tightly.
