Gas and oil cooking-stoves; doors ; joints; supports for articles to be heated or warmed.-A gas or oil cooker consists of an oven, hot-plate, stand, and other parts all of which, except the burner, are made by stamping and pressing sheet metal. The oven sides and back, and the door frame, consist of a sheet 1 of metal. The corners are fitted in vertical angle-bars 6, the upper ends 7 of which pass into the hot-plate; the lower ends form feet 10, and have inset lugs 11<a> into which are slipped the flanges 5 of the oven bottom 4. Longer legs 11 may be connected to the feet 10 by lugs 12 on the legs embracing the edges of the feet 10. The hot-plate 13 is fluted, and has a central opening surrounded by a gutter 14 in which is seated a concentrically-corrugated plate 15, or a grid. Beneath the hot-plate 13 is an intermediate plate 19, the edges 18 of which are seamed over the flanges 17 of the hot-plate 13. Brackets 25 are supported on the sides and back of the hot-plate by hook-like parts 24 entering slots 23 in the flanges 17 and engaging with the upper edges of the slots. The door 27, Fig. 8, is hinged to the oven bottom 4; it has a glass panel 30, and is secured by a gravity catch 51 attached to a brace 50 under the hot-plate. Shelf-supports 3 are pressed in the sides of the oven. The legs 11 may be enclosed to form a heating-chamber.
