Abstract
332,621. Dicker, S. G. S., (Naamlooze Vennootschap Philips' Gloeilarrepenfabrieken). Jan. 26, 1929. Charging batteries. - In full wave rectifiers for use in battery charging wherein chokes are used for smoothing out pulsations iron-cored chokes with an air gap are used. The rectifier preferably comprises a two-anode incandescentcathode discharge tube 5 associated with a transformer having a main secondary winding in two parts 2, 3 connected through resistances 8, 9 to the battery 10. The chokes 6, 7 may be inserted in the leads to the resistance 8, 9, in the battery leads 13, 14, or in the anode leads 15, 16.
