Abstract

329,823. Williams, W. F. May 14, 1929 Poad-traffic signals on vehicles.-Front and rear direction-signalling arrows 17, 20 on roadvehicles are actuated by a lever 11 controlling two pairs of Bowden wires linked to the ends of chains 24 engaging each a sprocket wheel 25 on the horizontal spindle of the arrow. A switch 30 operated by the foot-brake lights " stop " lamps in the arrows in any position thereof, while an extension of the hand lever 11, when turned to the left or right, engages contacts 33, 34 to light the arrow lamps when the arrows are in the signalling positions. A switch 37 cuts out the latter circuits in daylight.
