Suspension-spoke wheels.-A wire-spoked wheel comprises at least six sets of spokes of which two (C<1>, C<2>) extend from the edge portions of the rim A to the opposite ends of the hub B, two (C<3>, C<4>) from the same portions of the rim to the mid-portion of the hub, and two (C<5>, C<6>) from the mid-portion of the rim to the ends of the hub. This arrangement provides for a considerable portion of the brake-drum E being disposed within the wheel-structure. If clearance for a brake-drum is not required, other spolces may be arranged between the edge (or edges) of the rim and the corresponding end (or ends) of the hub. The brake-drum E is shown mounted as in Specification 299,950, [Class 80 (ii), Gearing, Variablespeed &c.].
