328,370. Wenmur Blades, Ltd., and Wenham, D. Feb. 25, 1929. Lawn-mowers.-In a lawn-mower in which a flexible ledger blade is carried by a tiltable transverse bar provided with end brackets and trunnion pins, the rear edge of the ledger blade engages in a groove between the two parts of a holder bar extending along the transverse carrier bar. The two end brackets 0 integral with the carrier bar A are tilted about the axis of the trunnion pins by a hand-screw bearing upon the rear extension c of one of them. The screw acts in opposition to a spring bearing against the forward extension of the other bracket 0 and held in place by a set-screw. The flexible blade H is detachably gripped in a slot or groove M provided between the two parts J, K of the holder bar, which is screwed to the carrier bar A. The plate J projects forwardly beyond the strip K, and the blade H projects beyond a ridge or ledge on the plate J, being held down by an overhanging lug on one end of the plate J. Rubber or other resilient material may be inserted between the plate J and the carrier bar A.
