Channel and reservoirs in speedometer transmission mechanism.-The speedometer cable of a motor-vehicle is supplied with lubricant through a nipple H mounted on a short tube A interposed between the cable casing and the meter and containing a connecting shaft E, the end D of the tube is secured by a union nut to the end of the cable casing while the other end is provided with a screwed collar B co-operating with a union nut C adapted to be secured to the meter. Washers F, G prevent access of lubricant to the meter, while the interior of the tube is tapered outwards to facilitate access of the lubricant to the cable.
