Abstract

257,790. Benton & Stone, Ltd., and Milner, C. E. Nov. 20, 1925. Channels in Bowden-wire mechanism. - A device for lubricating a Bowden cable comprises a member a, having an eccentric longitudinal cylindrical hole b, which is slipped over the cable c, and a member d adapted to be inserted in the hole b and formed with a longitudinal groove to embrace a part of the cable, the latter being clamped between the members a, d by means of a transverse screw f forming part of an oil cup or of a nipple adapted to be supplied with lubricant from a gun. Lubricant passes through the screw f and a hole e in the member d to a bared portion g of the cable.
