Thermionic amplifiers and detectors. - In a super-regenerative wireless receiver, quenching of the oscillations is effected by altering periodically the phase of the energy. The incoming signal energy may be applied to a pair of thermionic valves in parallel the output circuits of which are coupled in reversed phase to an oscillatory circuit of negative resistance. The valves are rendered alternately operative, at a frequency greater than the signal frequency, preferably by a superimposed alternating current in the plate circuit arranged to oppositely affect the valves.
