Abstract

325,287. Morgan Crucible Co., Ltd., and Grant, J. E. Nov. 17, 1928. Drawings to Specification. Brushes. - A compound brush, comprising separate conducting and lubricating portions, is made of different pieces of compressed consolidated powdered material, such as graphite and copper powder mixed with graphite &c., secured together to form a single mass with a compound bearing face. The brush formed may be further treated by heat. The body of the brush may be made of copper powder composition and blocks of consolidated graphite secured in grooves or recesses therein by means of an insulating adhesive. Scouring materials, such as emery, may be incorporated in some of the blocks. Specification 22659/06 is referred to.
