Abstract

324,192. Amor, G. W. Dec. 19, 1928. Scaffolding.-A scaffold clamp for joining poles together at angles consist of a U-shaped saddle 1 apertured to receive the poles 2, 6, which are secured therein bv means of two arms 11, 12, pivoted at 13, each arm being grooved on opposite faces to register with the poles and with a pivoted locking lever 8 mounted on trunnions 9 in slots 7 in the saddle. The locking lever is retained in adjusted position by a pawl 18 and ratchet 20. The two armed clamp is supported by the pole 6. In a modification, the inside bearing surfaces of the clamping arms are rotatably mounted by means of pins 24 and grooves 23, so that the slots in the arms mav be set to embrace a pole 6 placed at any angle to the pole 2
