Protectors, securing. -In a detachable heel protector of the kind comprising a rubber tread a and an upstanding wall adapted to engage and grip the heel, the side walls b are formed with horizontal scores f to facilitate cutting to adapt the protector to low heels. The breast portion c of the wall is vertical and the side walls are inwardly inclined and tapered to a fine edge. A nail d passes through an aperture in the breast wall to secure the protector. The upper side of the tread is formed with a suction groove c. and the breast wall is curved, as shown, to fit the waist portion of a shoe.
