Abstract

323,207. Wollaston, H. J. Buchanan- Aug. 23, 1928. Tent pegs.-A device for securing an end or other part of a cord &c., and forming a tent peg, &c., comprises a hook-like member having a part A, preferably set back as shown in Fig. 1, and a part B forming with the part A an acute angle not sufficiently acute for the cord to become jammed in the angle, thus permitting free rendering of the cord for the purpose of further tightening. The ends of the device, which is preferably made of wire, may be curved inwardly to prevent damage of an article with which the device is used. In one form, Fig. 7, one end of the device is of corkscrew formation to allow the device to be used as a tent peg.
